Online Course: OSHA Electrical Standards

This comprehensive online OSHA electrical safety training course is intended to provide a basic overview of electrical safety, including the theory and application of electricity and equations such as Ohm’s Law and the Power equation. The Occupational Safety and Health Administration’s (OSHA) electrical safety standards are also addressed. This course is offered in partnership with the Rocky Mountain Education Center (RMEC) OSHA Training Institute – Region VIII.

During this course you will learn the basics of electricity including a detailed discussion of voltage, current, and resistance. You will then learn how each of these elements form mathematical relationships with one another through the application of these quantities using mathematical equations fundamental to the study of electricity. OSHA electrical standards are also addressed during the course.

This course is designed for:

  • Superintendents, Foremen, and Leadmen
  • Safety Coordinators, Managers, and Directors
  • Competent Persons

This easy-to-follow internet OSHA electrical  safety preparation lesson is designed to administer a general analysis of electricity-handling safety, including  electrical theory and how to apply equations (for example Ohm’s Law and Power equation). The Occupational Safety and Health Administration’s (OSHA) electrical safety principles will also be brought to attention. This lesson is presented in association with the Rocky Mountain Education Center (RMEC) OSHA Training Institute – Region VIII.

Over the length of the lesson you will acquire the basic knowledge of electricity which will include a thorough consideration electrical resistance, the principles of current, aspects of voltage, etc. These various principles are affected by mathematical interaction with one another (and math can be fun, right?…right?)  Of course this isn’t just a math class the math is only considered as it is necessary to relate to electrical understanding. OSHA electrical requirements already adressed during the lesson as well.

Testing:
The quizzes require a score of 70 to keep going with the lesson. The ultimate exam will ask for a minimum score of 70 to print your proof of finishing the course.

Course Completion:
When you’ve finished the lesson you’ll be given a certificate showing you have gone through the entirety of your training.
