Our Updated OSHA 30 Hour Construction Online Training Course Outline:
This course covers the most common causes of injuries and fatalities on construction sites, with a strong focus on real-world hazards.
OSHA 30-Hour Construction training is a comprehensive safety and health course created to meet the needs of supervisors, safety officers, lead carpenters, crew leaders, and anyone whose duties include protecting workers on construction sites. It goes beyond basic awareness to give you a more complete picture of construction safety, including how standards work, how hazards are controlled, and how to communicate about safety with your team. While OSHA 10 focuses on awareness and basic hazards, OSHA 30 gets into why hazards occur, how they are prevented, and how management practices contribute to safer results.
Who Should Take This Course?
This OSHA 30-Hour Construction course is a great fit if you are:
If you are not yet in a leadership or oversight role, OSHA 10-Hour Construction training is often the better starting point.
OSHA 30-Hour Construction is for supervisors, foremen, and safety leads working in construction, renovation, demolition, roofing, and similar field-based activities. It focuses on managing hazards that change daily, such as fall protection systems, scaffolding, excavation, electrical risks, and heavy equipment, along with supervisory safety responsibilities.
OSHA 30-Hour General Industry applies to leadership roles in workplaces like manufacturing, warehousing, healthcare, utilities, and distribution. It focuses on machine guarding, lockout and tagout, hazard communication, powered industrial trucks, and managing safety in fixed work environments.
Construction supervisors and safety personnel should take the construction version, since it aligns with OSHA construction standards under 29 CFR 1926.
Both courses are part of the OSHA Outreach Program, but they serve different roles.
